Election night hub
Tuesday 3 November 2026. Tonight in one place: when polls close, the latest calls and MT26 updates, headlines, how to read the live estimates, and where to find official counts. MT26 is an amateur model, built with AI and not affiliated with any campaign, party or outlet. A live estimate is not a call, and a forecast is not a result.
This page is new and experimental. It reads the same data as the forecast page and changes nothing there.

When polls close
Each key race shows its status on the forecast page as its polls close, then a live estimate where an official count reaches the model.
"Parts from" is when the first polls in that state close. Close House races are those the raters had at Likely or closer when the forecast was locked.
How to read MT26 tonight
- Polls closed · No count here yet: the polls have closed, but no official count has reached the model.
- Live estimate, not a call: the model's estimate from the official count so far. The first votes move the chances before they mean much, so don't read that first move as news.
- Projected by this model: only at 99.9 in 100 with at least 60% of the expected vote counted, or 99 in 100 with at least 95%. Never in Maine's or Alaska's ranked-choice races.
- Called · AP or Called · official results: a call entered by hand from AP or from official results, with its source.
The pre-election forecast was locked hours before the first state's polls closed, and it is graded in public: how it's graded.
